A quick rundown on our recent venues and where we stand, for those that want to know:
Envy was continuously double booking events, in effect pushing us out of their Thursday night scene. I don't expect to return there. The new place -- Pearl Street Public House -- was asking a lot to book the room and the owner was not pleasant (I had been warned by others). Hibernian is still a backup, and some have expressed interest in using it. My equipment is available if anyone wants to use it, but I might not be.
From Cherie: First I want to thank Tom for all the hard work he's put in to keep the scene going. I think there's a healthy scene here and potential to grow. One idea would be a more recognizable URL - like albanyswingdancing.org - to help spread the word.
